Similarly, HydroChill® has proven to cool artificial green surfaces through the same process. As the turf surface warms up with solar radiation, water stored in the HydroChill® turf is released. Evaporating water removes heat, leaving behind a cooler, more pleasant green for the players.

Ambient temperature outside does not completely determine surface temperature. Many elements determine an object’s surface temperature, such as cloud cover, wind, the sun’s angle, and other elements.

HydroChill® offers maximum benefit when the sun is nearest the Earth, as illustrated in the solar radiation calendar.
