Southwest Greens has recently commemorated a 15-year presence in the EMEA area — an achievement we are thrilled with. From a “cowboy” start of taking a synthetic soccer grass field and calling it a tee box to engineered solutions that play and look like natural — a lot has evolved.
At Southwest Greens, we begin developing with an eye on the final result. We strive to create artificial putting green turf that has the same look and feel of natural turf. The experience we mentioned is in the context of ball behavior — to be more precise — bounce, aim, and roll.
Bounce, aim, and roll speaks of the underlying technology behind our artificial putting green turf products. We call this project “Science Behind The Surface,” and we test our artificial system against genuine turf with a playability assessment tool.
