Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is manufactured in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and each turf strand is crafted in Shaw’s U.S. factories. Advanced equipment and Lean/Six Sigma systems drive precision and durability to achieve industry-leading standards. When you schedule to install artificial turf with Southwest Greens, you can be confident that you’re installing American-made grass built to last.
American Manufacturing: We manufacture through Shaw’s facilities, including our Dalton, GA plant. Shaw’s technology investments ensure fiber uniformity and premium quality.
Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, we control each stage of turf creation. That enables us to maintain consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, faster response for any warranty or service issue, and transparent production data for troubleshooting.
Rigorously Tested: Before any turf arrives, it’s tested and validated through Shaw’s labs and outdoor fields. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to simulate years of use. Each fiber undergoes tests for UV stability, resilience, and ball/athlete behavior, so your yard or putting green stays vibrant and realistic for years.
CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION
We constantly improve our turf to be better-performing and long-lasting. Some of our latest turf technologies include:
Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: The patented Bolt cross-section gives our turf its edge. It stands taller and springs back better than ordinary turf, surpassing conventional wear tests by 2x. Its curved structure prevents glossiness, giving the grass a realistic, non-glossy look.
HydroChill® Cooling: We offer HydroChill® infill beads that can cool your turf by 30–50°F. This passive cooling system is great for sun-baked yards or putting greens, keeping your lawn walkable for pets and people.
Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are crafted for quick drainage and easy cleanup. Pets can play without ruining your yard. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.
Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to have unique graphics or colors? Our Creaturf™ program lets you design turf with embedded branding or designs. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to distinctive pet turf, this option gives designers more creative freedom than ever before.
PERSONALIZED TO YOU
We collaborate with clients, golf pros, and experts to ensure our artificial turf meets real needs. Feedback from golfers led us to introduce a new “spring green” tee turf color that integrates naturally with fairways. Little details like this have made our products the top choice by Kennewick pro players, homeowners, and landscape architects alike.
We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.
We take fake grass installation seriously. It’s an art when done right. Our synthetic turf behave like pro golf surfaces. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because Shaw’s backing enhances our customization power, we can customize every layer of your turf.
LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND
We never stop innovating at Southwest Greens. Keep an eye out in 2026 for exciting new turf developments! Shaw Sports Turf revealed that fans will help to decide new field designs and that a next-gen “Game ON” synthetic turf (made in Calhoun, GA) will debut in 2026.
This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t spill all the details yet, but rest assured, our R&D team is hard at work on the next generation of artificial grass.
Upcoming releases will blend innovation and customer insight, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
